For first time Mums there is an ever increasing importance on the design of
the nursery and getting it absolutely right. New Mums look at no end of
baby nursery ideas to try and get inspiration for their little
ones room.
Perhaps it is the fact that when it comes to a baby, budgets do not
seem to matter, every Mum and Dad wants the absolute best for their unborn child
and therefore there is a sense of excitement having the freedom to
create and decorate a room with no restraints!
Pinterest is a great source of inspiration for nursery room
ideas. We have found some fantastic nursery ideas to suit a variety of
tastes.
For a modern nursery feel we love the use of the charcoal grey walls and
modern grey cot sat back with the injection of bold, bright colours. The
brightly coloured blanket and cot mobile are really eye catching and are sure to
excite your little one. This nursery room idea is perfect for both boys and
girls and works well in a small room.
For a more French inspired look we love the use of traditional white nursery
furniture coupled with sophisticated furnishings. The cot canopy and chandelier
add glamour and opulence to the nursery. The nursery chair and white wash
floorboards finish off any baby nursery to give it that French style and
elegance. Many parents to be like to design the nursery in keeping with the furniture in
the rest of the home.
Also, babies and toddler rooms are often filled with story books and more often than
not they are stacked piled high at the end of the bed or jumbled up on a shelf.
We love this storage idea below using the whole wall to display the story books. Not
only does it add colour to the room but little ones will love reading so much
more, enjoying the excitement of choosing their story from the front cover each
night.
Finally, Allison and Ann (my twin girls) would love this baby girl's nursery. The canopy gives this
nursery room idea a real princess feeling. The Jemima Puddle duck wallpaper
gives it a more traditional feel and little ones will love the ride on rocking
sheep.'
